Le parti conservateur du Québec fait une spectaculaire montée dans les intentions de votes...

Ce qui pourrait décider du tournant de la prochaine élection c'est comment le vote anglophone va tourner... Vont-ils rester avec les Libéraux ou se réveiller que le parti Libéral n'est plus l'ombre de lui-même et est infiltrée par une ''Fausse libérale''...

Le parti Conservateur pourrait peut-être raffler une partie du vote traditonnellement acquis pour les Libéraux

Montréal est un terreau très hostile à la CAQ qui a peu d'espoir de gagner des comptés, surtout pas les comptés majoritairement anglophones...

Plusieurs députés lancent la serviette de la Vie Publique et ne se représenteront pas à la prochaine élection...

Les élections au Québec sont prévues pour Octobre 2022... c'Est à la fois très près mais très loin aussi... Qu'est-ce qui peut bien se passer d'ici là?

The latest Angus Reid poll on Quebec politics has the uninhibited right-wing Conservative Party of Quebec (PCQ) neck and neck with the Liberals at 19 per cent of voting intentions.

Once untouchable with 50 per cent of voting intentions from decided voters, the Coalition Avenir Québec continues its downward slide and is now at 33 per cent. It could lose seats in Quebec City. Québec solidaire stagnates at 16 per cent. The Parti Québécois agonizes at nine per cent.

The PCQ, under the leadership of Éric Duhaime, is the only party gaining strength.

The Liberals will continue to have significant support from anglophones and allophones, but francophones no longer trust it. According to another recent poll, only about 10 per cent intend to vote Liberal in October. If the Liberals are perceived as pandering to anglophones and allophones, most francophones will stay away. Not to mention the Charest years.

Meanwhile, the Parti Québécois is ailing. Even if sovereignty were to make a comeback — watch out if the Supreme Court invalidates Bill 21 or Bill 96 — the PQ would not remain its standard-bearer.

The PCQ, founded in 2009, managed little more than one per cent of the vote in the 2018 election. It stayed below the radar until April 2021, when a former operative for Mario Dumont’s ADQ, columnist and radio host Éric Duhaime, replaced Adrien Pouliot as leader.

The PCQ’s growth has been phenomenal. It has received 51 per cent of all political donations (by number of donations) so far in 2022, according to Élections Québec data. Duhaime claims the party’s membership surpasses that of other well-established parties.

Is Quebec, a bastion of social democracy, moving right? What happened?
