Sunday the 28th of March was the most crowded day at the eruption site, with more than 5000 people who visited the area during the day.
The Search and Rescue Team did an amazing job on the site, fixing paths, ropes and building up big parking lots in just few hours (the car parking was a big problem during the first week).
I interviewed a member of the team Lovísa Fanney Árnadóttir that explains what they're doing.
Same with a couple of friends: Francesco Serra, an Italian living in Iceland and Roberto Luigi Pagani, the most famous italian blogger in Iceland (his Facebook page, Un italiano in Islanda, counts almost 70,000 followers).
There are scenes of the crowd, people taking selfies close to the lava and people cooking on it.
There are also scenes of the eruptive activity. During the previous night the entire western flanks of both cinder cones collapsed, showing the inner part of the craters and the lava fountaining, which was the highest and strongest since the beginning of the eruption (around 50 meters high).
